Our client is seeking an experienced AV Field Engineer to join their growing Dallas team.
This role focuses on pre-installation system validation, configuration, and post-installation commissioning of complex audio-visual systems. You will play a key role in ensuring systems are fully tested, properly configured, and successfully handed over to clients.
This is a local role with minimal travel, offering the opportunity to work closely with project teams in a fast-paced integration environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-configuration and post-installation commissioning of AV systems
- Verify system integration, wiring, and terminations in both lab and field environments
- Assist in ensuring all installations meet design drawings and technical specifications
- Identify, analyse, and resolve configuration and integration issues pre- and post-installation
- Support programming teams with loading, testing, and documentation of:Control system programming
- Touch panel interfaces
- DSP configurations
- Complete final system testing, commissioning, and handover activities
- Provide end-user training on AV systems
- Maintain clear daily reporting on progress, timelines, and task status to project management
- Review existing processes and recommend improvements where appropriate
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in AV installation and commissioning
- Strong working knowledge of QSC, Crestron, and Extron systems
- Experience with AV system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning workflows
- Strong understanding of audio tuning, EQ, and DSP systems
- Programming experience is a plus
- Strong networking knowledge (certifications preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to provide clear daily updates
