We are working with a forward thinking mid-sized systems integrator who have been organically growing over the years and continue to expand into new markets. They work with a diverse customer portfolio and have a dynamic approach and broad project capability. They are small enough to offer a personal and tailored approach and big enough to have a significant impact by offering a full-service solution to their customer’s needs. With almost 30 years’ experience managing thousands of projects across Europe they’re able to offer high-end media & technology solutions for the event industry and fixed spaces.

This role focuses on a vast well-known site in London that caters for a wide variety of events and customers. This could be anything from trade-shows, conferences, conventions, live performance, leisure, and luxury spaces and so much more. Due to the magnitude and complexity of this site’s nature the Project Manager will need to be technically competent, commercially aware, experienced, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with several customers, stakeholders, and decision makers involved.

Role Overview:

  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, from conceptualization to installation, ensuring timely completion, adherence to scope, and budget compliance.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear updates on project progress.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure timely generation and submission of technical documentation.
  • Interpret technical documentation and effectively convey information to relevant parties.
  • Coordinate the completion of handover documentation for seamless project transitions.
  • Adhere rigorously to health and safety protocols throughout projects.
  • Assist the sales function with quotations and offer technical support as needed.
  • Allocate and lead on-site installation teams, ensuring fulfillment of expectations.
  • Foster a client-centric approach to project delivery, ensuring clients are appropriately informed of project status.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • At least three years’ experience managing large events/audiovisual projects
  • A technical background in either audiovisual, unified communications or IT
  • Enthusiastic and organized approach to project management and delivery.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external project teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and impart knowledge to fellow team members.
  • Organized and adaptable, with proficiency in managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Capacity to manage workload prioritization under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment as well as independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and dedicated work ethic.
  • Preferable experience in managing audiovisual equipment installations.

Technical Understanding:

  • Audiovisual programmes such as Crestron
  • Planning and design tools (AutoCAD/Vectorworks)
  • Bespoke commercial IT networks
  • Managing AV commercial projects with large budgets
  • AMP or PRINCE2 qualification advantageous
