Axiiotek is proud to be partnering with a leading AV integration specialist to recruit an experienced AV Control Systems Programmer.
Our client designs, integrates, and rigorously tests every AV system in-house before deployment. Their programming team collaborates remotely with build and configuration teams, ensuring seamless system functionality without the inefficiencies of constant on-site constraints. This structured and forward-thinking approach allows engineers to focus on solving complex challenges and managing multiple high-level projects each week.

The Role
As an AV Control Systems Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, commissioning, and supporting advanced control systems within complex integrated AV environments.
You will also provide technical leadership on sophisticated integrations and will have the opportunity to grow into a more senior or formal leadership position over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on complex AV integrations, supporting project teams as required
- Develop and program AV control systems (e.g., QSC, Crestron, Extron, or similar platforms)
- Configure and optimise audio, video, and networked system components
- Translate system drawings and functional requirements into structured, reliable code
- Support on-site commissioning, system testing, and troubleshooting
- Design intuitive, user-friendly touch panel interfaces
- Document programming, configurations, and system changes thoroughly
- Provide post-installation support, including remote diagnostics and customer assistance
- Maintain awareness of emerging AV technologies and programming standards
Required Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience programming and commissioning AV control systems
- Proficiency in at least one major control platform (QSC, Crestron, Extron, or similar)
- Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networking fundamentals, and communication protocols (TCP/IP, RS-232, IR)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, signal flow diagrams, and system drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Experience
- Q-SYS Control Programming certification or equivalent experience
- DSP configuration (Biamp, QSC, BSS, etc.)
- Experience with AV-over-IP and converged network environments
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as C#, Python, or Lua
