Role Overview
- You will act as the primary technical lead during installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while also serving as the key point of contact for customers during project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform the installation of audio visual systems in line with project drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Supervise, mentor, and provide on-site guidance to AV installation technicians
- Install and terminate AV cabling, including copper and fiber
- Build and wire equipment racks and perform basic mechanical fabrication
- Mount and install projectors, displays, screens, and AV hardware (including ceiling mounts)
- Load, configure, and troubleshoot control systems including Crestron, Extron, AMX, and Biamp (no programming required)
- Install and configure Dolby audio systems (highly preferred)
- Support the configuration of Cisco networking equipment,
- Read and interpret CAD drawings, architectural plans, and riser diagrams
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across multiple AV devices and systems
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality guidelines
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and on-site customers
Skills
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience
- Strong hands-on experience with video displays, speakers, microphones, racks, and AV cabling
- Proven experience building and wiring AV racks
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting in live environments
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Comfortable working on-site, including lifting equipment and working at height
