Our client, a global leader in the Pro Audio industry is seeking a hands-on and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day performance, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, and developing a motivated, high-performing team. This role plays a vital part in supporting our European operations through effective stock management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of 10–12 warehouse staff to achieve delivery and performance targets.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training to ensure all staff are skilled and multi-functional.
- Manage scheduling, absences, and holiday planning to ensure full operational coverage.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and team briefings to maintain communication and engagement.
- Ensure all warehouse operations (picking, packing, receiving, and dispatch) run smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate stock control of inventory (approx. £20m) and oversee reordering of raw materials.
- Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics to align warehouse operations with business priorities.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure contracts for operational maintenance (e.g., forklifts, packing machinery) are up to date.
- Monitor operational KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with Dutch Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
- Create, update, and maintain clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
- Develop and report on performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Encourage innovation and feedback from the team to continually enhance operational processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Fluent in Dutch and English (verbal and written).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse and operations management.
- Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Proven experience using Inventory or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in warehouse environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Forklift (FLT) license.
