Our client is looking for a skilled Operations Manager to lead and optimize the day-to-day and long-term strategy of our logistics, technical, warehouse, and transport departments. This role is crucial to ensuring smooth, cost-effective operations while maintaining a high level of productivity, quality, and team satisfaction.

You’ll act as a key link between strategic planning and operational execution, working closely with department heads to enhance performance, streamline workflows, and improve service delivery across the branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy
• Set goals and develop policies for logistics operations aligned with the broader business strategy.
• Oversee internal communications and implement an effective meeting structure across departments.
• Collaborate with senior management to continuously improve operational processes.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and develop department heads in the warehouse, technical, and transport teams.
• Coach, inspire, and support indirect reports across all relevant departments.
• Conduct hiring interviews and performance reviews.
• Take part in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare regular reports and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
• Guarantee technical reliability and high-quality maintenance of equipment.
• Oversee fault-clearing services and ensure rapid response and issue resolution.
• Oversee the inbound and outbound flow of materials both physically and administratively.
• Optimize warehouse staffing and processes to meet internal and external service expectations.
• Ensure proper tracking and resolution of unreturned materials.
• Maximize warehouse productivity per cubic meter/week.
• Promote seamless communication between departments and warehouses.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in operations or branch management, ideally within a technical, rental, or logistics-heavy environment.
• Strong people leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with warehouse and transport management systems (WMS, ERP, RFID, etc.).
• Fluency in German and professional-level English.
